Equality objectives 2026 to 2029
We publish the following measurable objectives. Progress is reviewed at least annually by the Headteacher and Leadership Team.
- Access and participation. Increase the extent to which disabled students and students with SEND can access the full taught and enrichment offer, so that student support notes and reasonable adjustments are in place within two weeks of a placement starting (owner: Sacha, with Headteacher oversight).
- A culture free from discrimination. Ensure every staff member completes equality and anti-discrimination refresh training each academic year, and that discriminatory incidents are logged, reviewed and followed up within ten school days (owner: Lloyd / Amy for staff records).
- Fair outcomes and transitions. Track engagement, attendance and next-step destinations so that no group defined by a protected characteristic is left without targeted support when a gap is identified, with a termly leadership review of patterns (owner: Lloyd with careers and pastoral leads).
These objectives sit alongside the Accessibility Plan 2026 to 2029.
Reasonable adjustments
Adjustments may include adapted learning, movement breaks, sensory changes, quiet spaces, mentoring, behaviour scaffolding and additional adult support. These are recorded in student support notes and related plans.
Curriculum and inclusion
Students access flexible pathways, mentoring and wellbeing provision, unit awards, vocational learning, PSHE and structured sport. No student is disadvantaged because of needs, background or personal circumstances.
Discriminatory incidents
Incidents are responded to immediately, recorded, reported to the parent school, discussed through multi-disciplinary processes and reflected in planning. Serious incidents may be escalated through safeguarding procedures or to external agencies. Complaints about discrimination may be sent to admin@evolution-sportsgroup.com under the Complaints Policy.
Monitoring
This policy is reviewed annually. Oversight is provided by the Chief Executive Officer, Centre Manager and local authority monitoring as applicable. Last reviewed: August 2026.
Review Cycle
This policy is reviewed at least annually, or sooner following changes in legislation, statutory guidance, or significant incidents. Next formal review: January 2027. Approved by the Proprietor / Leadership Team.
