We are creating better futures for young people #proudtobecapita

Creating better outcomes is part of Capita’s DNA.

So, we were delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Evolution Sports Group, part of the Beyond Education Sports Foundation, when they contacted us last year for some support with IT equipment for their students.

Evolution Sports Group is a sports-specialist provision offering alternative education to students that have been referred by their schools. Their curriculum offers both non-formal theory and practical activities aiming to help students re-engage with learning and develop the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary for employment in the sports sector, as well as provision designed to help students develop their English, Maths and ICT skills.
We were able to donate laptops and tablets to the group so their students could access on-line learning, a crucial element to enable them to succeed in their studies. Watch this video to see how our support has made a big difference towards the future of these young people that otherwise could have fallen out of education.

The future for Evolution Sports Group is now looking even brighter! Due to the success of this programme the local authority has asked them to increase their intake of students. Next month the provision is moving into a new education centre, and Capita is providing the additional students with tablets.
This is such a positive scheme to be involved with and it’s amazing to know how our help has made such a difference for this organisation: Evolution Sports Group CEO, Eugene Dwaah “We are so, so grateful. Capita’s support has been instrumental in our success.”
Foundation student: “Most of our work includes accessing online information, the tablets have given me access to the internet, and I am able to follow my course because of this. I don’t have a computer at home, so I am able to stay behind after school and complete my homework using the tablets, this has helped me get good reports from my teacher.”
We’re here to do what’s right and to make a difference to the people we serve, and we should all be #proudtobecapita
