Curriculum intent

Year 10 students follow an Academic, Vocational or Sports pathway shaped around starting points and ambitions, with mentoring, personal development and careers guidance throughout.

Core learning

Enrichment, pathways and personal development

Seven ISS areas of learning

Every year-group plan is designed so learners experience linguistic, mathematical, scientific, technological, human and social, physical, and aesthetic and creative education through the mix of core and enrichment above, adapted to ages and aptitudes.

Assessment and evaluation

Qualification-linked assessment, portfolio evidence, formative checks, half-term pathway reviews, attendance and behaviour for learning data.

Full procedures sit in the Assessment and pupil performance framework.

Adaptive teaching

Teaching follows the Adaptive Teaching Policy and individual support plans. Schemes of work for each subject set end points and weekly sequences. Pitch, scaffolds and challenge are matched to starting points, not a single year-group ceiling.

Schemes of work

Subject schemes covering Years 7 to 11 are published in the staff Scheme of Work library: Completed schemes.

Intended destination for this year

Secure Year 11 accreditation trajectory and clearer destination plan.
