Offering young people a sporting chance
Empowering young people to believe in themselves, achieve beyond expectation, and reconnect with their education.
At Evolution Education, we believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive, no matter their starting point. Our offer is designed to support students who are at risk of permanent exclusion or require a therapeutic, structured alternative to mainstream education.
We provide a trauma-informed, attachment-aware environment that prioritises emotional well-being alongside academic and vocational development — creating the conditions for lasting change.
Therapeutic Approaches to Learning
Our programmes support students who may be struggling due to:
Carrying weapons into school
Serious behavioural concerns
Gang affiliation or county lines involvement
We work in close partnership with schools, local authorities, and families to prevent permanent exclusions and provide an opportunity for students to re-engage positively with education. Our holistic approach addresses the root causes of behaviour, helping learners rebuild their confidence, identity, and future pathways.
Attachment Awareness & Trauma-Informed Practice
Many of our learners have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) such as trauma, neglect, or abuse. These challenges can significantly affect emotional development, brain functioning, and the ability to access learning in traditional settings.
At Evolution Education, we provide:
A trauma-informed environment
Attachment-aware teaching practices
Emotion coaching to support emotional regulation
Our staff are trained to understand behaviour through the lens of trauma, ensuring that every interaction contributes to a sense of safety, belonging, and growth. We prioritise relational safety, recognising that learning cannot happen without trust.
The Role of the Key Adult: Mentoring that Matters
Every student is supported by a dedicated mentor – their Key Adult – who builds a secure, trusting relationship with them throughout their journey. This relationship underpins emotional recovery and academic progress.
Secure adult attachments are linked with:
Improved self-regulation and reduced challenging behaviours
Higher academic achievement
Increased confidence and social competence
