Behaviour & wellbeing
We understand behaviour as communication. Our approach is calm, consistent and rooted in strong relationships, high expectations and practical support.
Young people do best when they feel safe, respected and clear about expectations. Staff build trusting relationships, teach regulation skills, and respond fairly when things go wrong.
On public pages we talk about this in plain English. For professionals, our practice is trauma-informed and attachment-aware, and sits alongside our Behaviour Policy.
Clear structure that helps young people settle and succeed.
Adults help learners name, understand and manage feelings.
Repairing relationships after conflict, not only applying sanctions.
A trusted adult who knows the young person well.
Parents and carers are part of the plan, not an afterthought.
Bullying, including child-on-child abuse, is challenged and recorded.
