A clear journey from referral to destination, with a Key Adult beside the young person throughout.
The journey
Referral to destination
Places are arranged by schools and local authorities. There is no public self-referral button on this website.

Referral: a school or local authority makes contact. The referral form is shared with Evolution Education staff, with a Student Passport where applicable.

Induction: the school brings the student and parent or carer to the centre for a tour, Behaviour for Learning expectations, Home–Centre Agreement, timetable, medical needs and main school contact.

Focus Learning assessment: wellbeing and core subject baselines on day one, then 3 to 5 days of ongoing assessment.

Pathway: Student Services and senior leadership agree the route best suited to the student.

Reviews: internal after 2 weeks, with the main school after 6 weeks, then every 6 or 12 weeks.

Progress: teaching, mentoring, sport and enrichment, with teacher, Student Services, THRIVE and mentor feedback.

Destination: reintegration, college, training, apprenticeship, employment or continued sport pathway.

Relationships make the journey possible
Every learner has a Key Adult. Families are kept involved. Schools and commissioners receive clear updates.
The exact length of a placement depends on the pathway, from a short KS3 recovery programme to a longer KS4 route.
