Schools and local authorities

Clear oversight from referral to next step

THRIVE is our multi-disciplinary review framework. Schools and local authorities get structured triage, pathway decisions, regular reports and planned transitions.

The THRIVE governance and oversight model

THRIVE (Targeted Holistic Review, Intervention and Vocational Evaluation) is Evolution Education's internal multi-disciplinary team framework. THRIVE meets weekly to review attendance, behaviour regulation, academic progress and safeguarding information.

Places are arranged only through schools and local authorities. We do not take public self-referrals through this website.

Specialist activity leads

Referral to outcome

Referral, review and transition pipeline

One ordered pipeline so commissioners can see how decisions are made and reported.

  • Commissioning school referral (profile, risk assessment and baseline information)

  • Initial THRIVE triage and admission

  • Pathway allocation: Academic, Sports or Vocational (KS4), or KS3 Respite and Recovery

  • KS4: half-termly commissioner reports every 6 weeks, plus 12-week THRIVE review with stakeholder meeting

  • KS3: Week 6 mid-programme review and Week 12 final exit review with commissioner reports

  • Pathway fluidity: step-up or step-down when evidence shows a better fit

  • Positive outcomes: post-16 progression, mainstream return or qualifications

What commissioners can expect

Regular reporting

Half-termly reports on KS4 pathways. Mid-programme and exit reports on KS3 placements.

Core entitlement

Every learner keeps access to English, mathematics, STEM, creative studies or cooking, and careers provision, including when a short reduced timetable is used therapeutically.

Curriculum evidence

Pathway booklets and the ISS pathway provision matrix show how each route meets Independent School Standards breadth.

Safeguarding partnership

Daily practice follows Evolution Education published policies. Safeguarding concerns are escalated through agreed routes with the commissioning school.
