Every Student Matters
Each young person is seen, heard and valued. We do not write anyone off.
Evolution Education
About us
We help young people aged 11 to 16 feel settled, learn well and prepare for life, with sport at the heart of how we teach and support.
Who we are
Evolution Education is part of Evolution Sports Group. We provide a calm, structured school setting for young people who need something different from mainstream education.
Teaching, mentoring and high-quality sport sit together so young people can settle, rebuild confidence and prepare for life.
We are working towards Independent School registration as a sport-specialist alternative provision provider. Until that process is complete we describe our status accurately. Full-time delivery currently sits under local authority commissioned partnership arrangements using the registered URN of Jo Richardson Community School, while Evolution Education Limited remains the accountable delivery organisation.
Leadership
Our Chief Executive, Eugene Dwaah, brings a clear path from junior football and coaching, through Premier League talent identification at Fulham FC, Head of Behaviour and Engagement at Skinners' Academy (Hackney), leading behaviour systems, mentoring and reintegration, and founding Evolution Sports Group, to leading this school today.
That journey shapes a school where high standards and strong relationships go together. See Awards and Publications for the full career story and external recognition.
Mission
We use sport to help young people believe in themselves again, settle into learning, and move towards further education, training or work.
Our aim is clear: equip every young person with the skills, confidence and support to thrive beyond their time with us, in school, work and life.
Our values
These principles shape how we teach, how we support young people, and how we work with families and professionals.
Each young person is seen, heard and valued. We do not write anyone off.
Trusting relationships with staff give young people the consistency they need to feel safe and ready to learn.
We expect a lot, because we believe young people can rise to it with the right support.
Learning is shaped around strengths, needs and goals, with the young person's voice at the centre.
We focus on character, confidence, qualifications and the next step after Evolution.
Read how each principle shows up in everyday practice.
Every young person deserves another chance.
