Achieve: skills for life, confidence you can prove

The King's Trust Achieve programme is a flexible personal development offer for young people aged 11 to 19. At Evolution Education it sits inside KS4 pathways, mentoring and careers, so learners build confidence, teamwork and employability with staff beside them.

Purpose

Why Achieve matters here

Achieve is designed to support and empower young people who need a different route to succeed in education. It helps them develop skills and experience for life, while building the confidence to realise their potential.

The King's Trust supports education partners with free session plans, free staff training, a designated contact and optional regulated qualifications. We use that flexibility so the programme fits our timetable, our cohort and each learner's personal plan.

At Evolution

How we deliver Achieve at Evolution Education

Achieve sits inside personal development and KS4 pathways. Ismail leads much of the sports and awards timetable where Achieve is scheduled. Other staff support projects through mentoring, PSHE and careers.

We choose units and topics to match the young person: career planning, money management, teamwork, community challenge, interview skills and other Achieve library themes. Progress is reviewed with the learner and their Key Adult.

Where it is right for the learner, we work towards an optional King's Trust qualification. Evidence is gathered in three assessment windows each year for Year 10 and Year 11, then checked by the teacher, sampled by Curriculum Lead and verified by King's Trust before certificates are claimed.

The certificate is valuable, but the main aim is practised skills, finished challenges and confidence that transfers into school, college, training and work.

Benefits for students

What young people gain

Flexible around the learner

We tailor topics, timing and challenge to the personal plan, not a one-size course.

Practical confidence

Projects help young people speak up, work with others, manage money themes, plan careers and finish something real.

Optional recognised awards

Learners can work towards regulated King's Trust qualifications where that supports their pathway.

Joined to careers

Achieve strengthens our Gatsby Benchmarks practice: encounters, guidance, workplace awareness and next-step planning.

Programmes

Optional King's Trust qualifications

Achieve can be delivered with or without a qualification. Where we enrol a learner on an award, we choose the route that fits their starting point and goals.

  • Developing Resilience (Level 1 Award)

A focused Level 1 Award (three modules) that builds resilience and personal skills. Available across the UK.

  • Personal Development and Employability Skills (PDE)

Available in England at Entry 1, Level 1 and Level 2, in Award, Certificate, Extended Certificate and Diploma sizes. Covers personal development and employability content matched to the learner.

Qualifications and achievements

Student achievements will appear here as they are awarded

This space is for recognised qualifications and awards earned through our work with The King's Trust. We will feature real student achievements here once they are confirmed.
